Residents and visitors can discover the latest developments in Chester’s One City Plan at two open days next week.

The drop-in session will take place at the Palatine Room at Chester Town Hall on Tuesday, October 9, from 4.30pm until 6.30pm and on Saturday, October 13, from 10am – 2pm.

Touchscreens will give the latest information on the various projects and initiatives that form part of the One City Plan and staff from Chester Renaissance will be on hand to answer questions.

Particular focus will be on the Chester Central Business Quarter, a vibrant new business area for the city.

Visitors will be able to learn more about the emerging masterplan for the commercial development, proposed for a site immediately east and south of the railway station.

The ambitious scheme has the capacity to deliver 500,000 sq ft of prime office space and create more than 1,100 jobs.

The open days are part of a monthly events programme designed to keep the community updated on the strategy that aims to transform Chester into Britain’s most vibrant historic city.

Future drop-in sessions will be on the second Tuesday of the month from 4.30pm to 6.30pm up until December 2012.
