Shoppers to Chester’s Brook Street are being welcomed by an impressive new sign.

Said Executive Member for Prosperity, Councillor Herbert Manley: “The new sign is a fitting landmark for Brook Street that has been transformed over the past few years with an engaging choice of shops, cafes and restaurants.”

Local Boughton Councillor David Robinson was joined by members of the Brook Street Traders and Residents Association to unveil the new ‘Brook Street Welcomes You’ sign.

Said Councillor Robinson: “Brook Street has been the subject of environmental improvements for a number of years, to enhance its retail attractiveness and residential well being.

“The mural in Brook Place, has proved to be really popular and appreciated. It is important that the footfall in Brook Street is increased and I feel that this entrance sign will assist in this process. It will be visible from Hoole Way and the public car park on St Anne Street and hopefully will attract people to Brook Street.

”And this is in place for the Brook Street Festival which is being held on May 26.”

Chester Renaissance commissioned the sign that was created by Flintshire Fabrications.
