People can find out more about the Chester Central Business Quarter at the next One City Plan drop in session on Tuesday February 11.

The One City Plan is a 15 year strategy to guide the future economic regeneration of Chester, which will co-ordinate and drive a programme of public and private investment and development activity into Chester city centre.

The session on the 11th takes place at the Palatine Room in Chester Town Hall from 11.30am – 1pm and 4.30pm – 6.30pm.

Over the next 18 months, the area to the east of the Railway Station in Chester, will start to be transformed as the first phase of the Central Business Quarter is delivered. This is one of the major developments planned for the city, and is gathering real momentum.

Cheshire West and Chester Council and Chester Renaissance are working in partnership with the developers of each of these schemes. Members of the public are invited to this drop in session to be updated on progress.

The first phase includes;
• New Waitrose store on the former Boughton Retail Park site
• Building 1, City Place – the first 6 storey office building
• Re-development of the Shot Tower and former Leadworks site
• New pedestrian and cycle canal link bridge
• Relocation of the rail car park
• New public spaces linking with the railway station

Members of the Project Team and Chester Renaissance will be on hand to answer questions.

The next couple of sessions are taking place on Tues 11 March – this will feature the events programme and visitor attractions, followed by the CH1 Business Improvement District at the session on Tuesday 8 April.
