Cheshire West and Chester Council is looking for applications from design professionals who share a passion for the built environment and quality place-making.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the quality of development in the built environment across a broad range of developments and deliver a difference in the approach to design in our borough.

Councillor Brian Clarke, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Infrastructure said: “The Council understands the importance of good design and the benefit of design review in helping to shape and improve the places where we live. The Design Review Panel has been established over the past two years providing expert, independent design advice.

“We are seeking panel member applications from architecture, urban design, sustainable design, accessibility, landscape architecture, the historic environment, engineering, the arts, planning, investment and development.”

Panel members will be appointed for a two-year period. Whilst membership of the panel will not be remunerated, reasonable expenses will be paid. There are approximately six meetings per year, comprising of two hours per design review meeting. Panel members will be invited to attend a review meeting based on the necessary expertise needed for the particular scheme.
