Chester’s packed events programme for 2014 will be the focus of the next One City Plan drop in session.

Members of the public can discover how Chester will be alive with culture this summer at the session next Tuesday (March 11) at the Palatine Room in Chester Town Hall from 11.30am – 1pm and 4.30pm – 6.30pm.

It will feature many of the city’s top attractions including Chester Cathedral, which is opening its new attraction Cathedral at Height this Easter, and Chester Zoo, which will showcase its forthcoming Islands project.

Chester Racecourse and the Grosvenor Museum will also feature details of their exhibitions and events.

There will also be representatives from Chester Performs, the arts company behind the annual MBNA Chester Music Festival, Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre, Moonlight Flicks and Family Saturdays in the Amphitheatre.

The Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival, which takes place over Easter weekend, will be represented, along with the Inland Waterways Association and its Campaign Festival which will see more than 100 decorated boats visit the Tower Wharf area in early June.

Many more events will be showcased as part of the session, which is open to all. Members of Chester Renaissance, along with events and attraction staff, will be on hand to answer questions.

Anyone who is unable to attend can find out more about forthcoming events in Chester and throughout the borough at www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/events

The One City Plan is a 15 year strategy to guide the future economic regeneration of Chester, which will co-ordinate and drive a programme of public and private investment and development activity into Chester city centre.

The next drop in session will take place on April 8 and will feature the CH1 Business Improvement District (BID).
