24th – 28th July – Archaeological Dig, at Ollershaw Lane Works. We are excavating the buildings at the salt mine opposite the Lion Salt Works all week, please let me know if you are interested in joining us on our dig.
29th July – Open Day at the Lion Salt Works Museum, find out about what we have discovered on our archaeological dig. Free crafts for children and adults, talk by Dr Mike Nevell on the history of salt in the area, geophys survey demonstrations and tours of our trenches all on offer.
28th July – Interpretation Training Workshop with Nigel McDonald. Learn the best way of showing off your local space and attracting new people to join your community group. Runs from the Groundwork Offices, Northwich
11th August – Interpretation Board Workshop, to follow on from the interpretation training, this workshop is brilliant for anyone who is part of a group wanting to display information on an interpretation board- what should go on the board and how it can be best laid out for maximum effect.
29th August – How to Archive, with the Cheshire Records Office at the Canalside Conference centre, Middlewich. A fantastic workshop for anyone who has resources and isn’t sure what to do with them! This workshop will include a section on managing access to your archive, digitising your archive and how to use social media with your archive.
